So we had to leave the paradise that is Monterey. :( We headed back into the city so we wouldn't miss our early flights. We decided to stay in town our last day and pretend we were college students in Palo Alto. We found a cute little place to stay by the Stanford campus and spent our last day laying by the pool and wandering around the Stanford campus.
I'm so jealous of the people that get to go to school here in the sunshine on this beautiful campus! I went to college in the Midwest where we were buried in the snow six months out of the year. Maybe I'll fantasize about getting a Ph.D here someday....
On the other hand, it was wonderful to have some downtime to count my new freckles and finish off the last of our gas station wine. Hopefully we can sneak away to do this....once
