After a long long loooong day of cleaning and packing, neither of us were in the mood to cook anything (dished packed), or really had the patience to sit down for a meal (we also probably smelled too bad to go into a decent restaurant anyway). So we changed our clothed, slathered on enough deodorant to go out in public, and headed across town to the Minnesota State Fair for dinner! Best decision of the week!
Fair have changed a lot since I was little. I haven't been to one in years. My go to is always Fair Lemonade and an Elephant Ear (or "Funnel Cake"). But I see Fair Cuisine has come a long way!
We wandered around and gorged ourselves on fried green tomatoes, kebabs, and other fried things on a stick (Hey! We burned a lot of calories packing!). Eventually we made our way by the grandstand and bought last minute tickets to STEVIE NICKS! Best last minute decision ever!
